Andy Murray Can Lead Great Britain to Victory - December-07

Tim Henman believes Andy Murray can lead Great Britain to tennis glory in the Davis Cup. Murray will take on the captain role and bring Britain back into the world group after the victory over Croatia three months back. Henman explained that “You are going to need to be mentally resilient, but plenty have done it in the past and I’m sure Andy will do it in the future. Andy Murray Wins San Jose Open - February-07

After a hard fort battle Andy Murray retained his San Jose Open title for the second consecutive year. Wining six – seven, six – four and seven – six after being a set down and a break in the second set in two and half hours. Murray was delighted to win his second ATP Tour title beating Croatia’s Ivo Karlovic.

Murray commented that: “On a court as fast as this, I’ve had to play some big servers so it’s about mental strength”.

You have to play a great tournament to win, regardless of how well you’re hitting the ball. But you do have to strike the ball pretty well and I think I did that this week.

Commenting on the future Murray explained: “I think I have more experience this year. I am looking forward to the clay-court season.

This year I have won all three-set matches I’ve played. So that’s the key sticking in their in tough matches.

Andy Murray vs Rafael Nadal - January-07

Andy Murray is heading for a fascinating fourth round clash with Rafael Nadal at the Australian Open. After his win over Juan Ignacio Chela six-three, six-two, six-four.

He commented on his victory and upcoming tennis tie with Rafael Nadal;

"I served great the whole match and once I started to find my range from the ground, I started to make him do a lot of running and hit a lot of winners today."

Regarding Rafael Nadal :

"I'm looking forward to it," said Murray.

"It'll be a good test for me to see how well I do against him. I want to see what problems I can cause for him.

"If I play like I did tonight, it's going to be close match."
